The Great Divide - Reunited

The Great Divide reunited for a very special show during the College Days Music Festival at the Tumbleweed in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on August 26th. It was the first time they played a concert together in almost 9 years. “It was an emotional roller coaster of a night, but a great success,” Bassist Kelley Green said. “(it) was about reconciliation” added drummer J. J. Lester who also mentioned that the concert was recorded and filmed for a future CD/ DVD release. This reconciliation led to a second show at City Limits in Stephenville, Texas, on October 29th. “We knew the first show was going to be special for us, our families, friends, and, if we had any left, fans” front man Mike McClure admitted. Rhythm guitarist Scotte Lester explained the second show was “to really test the waters, see if there was an interest from fans, and to be honest, more importantly, among ourselves.” After two successful shows in front of sold out crowds that were singing every word to their songs, the decision was made to team with the newly formed, FMG Entertainment, to pursue future engagements and continue to make music. The Great Divide is back together, ready to play, and FMG Entertainment will be booking The Great Divide for a very select number of dates in 2012.
